At GN Thandya School to Promote Art
OCT 21, 2018
The Legal process of bringing ‘BESUGE’ to life happened in a very quick time, once registration was complete; we were evaluating to begin the process of social bonding. To our surprise there were numerous organisations competing to do social work in Bengaluru; hence the ‘BESUGE’ was looking to carry out something different from other social work organisations. At that moment we stumbled on a prospect when we discussed our initiative with one of our friend Mr.Dhakshinamurthy, a government primary school teacher on the outskirts of the Bengaluru, in a small village with roughly around 10 houses nestled near the Bannerghatta reserve forest and far from the city choruses. Being adjacent to the forest has its own benefits and pitfalls, when we decided to visit the school for our initial screening the team encountered a strange situation, one of the school girl came screaming towards the teacher for help as there was a snake at her place, teacher quickly rushed to the place and advise the locals not to kill the snake but to catch and leave it in the nearby forest. What we saw in him was a true ‘Guru’, not only teaching kids at the school but also actively involved in guiding the villagers on every aspect of their lives.
He was the only teacher at that school and he was happy as well as proud about the same. He came across as a teacher and kind of protector for the kids at that school. Looking at all those things team ‘BESUGE’ certainly wanted to start its effort from that school and wanted to inspire young minds and future prospects of our beloved nation. We ‘BESUGE’ undertook the work at that school and worked roughly for {1 month Time} and presented the work on the occasion of Dasara festival. It will not be fair to explain the work of ‘BESUGE’ in words and hence will showcase the same through the pictures. With further hope and promise we will look forward for other projects.
Thank You
